Celebrating National Burrito Day With New York Food Trucks

Burritos are more than a popular Tex-Mex dish, they’re a celebrated comfort food that can be enjoyed any time of day. While they may have first gotten their popularity in Los Angeles nearly a century ago, did you know that some of New York’s finest food trucks are home to some of the most delicious burritos from coast-to-coast?

April 2nd marks “National Burrito Day,” celebrating the delicious and versatile Mexican dish wrapped in a tortilla. 

First introduced in the United States in 1930 at a cafe in Los Angeles called El Cholo, the burrito has captured the hearts (and appetites) of Americans for over almost a century.
