Based out of Babylon, NY, The Oyster Lover food truck is a family-owned mobile catering company that is dedicated to providing fresh oysters and exceptional client service for a variety of events. Founder Brittany Buffaloe is passionate about making local oysters accessible to the community, and with the help of her husband’s diligent work in their aquafarm, they brought this vision to life. The Oyster Lover offers two catering styles, a fully-equipped mobile food truck, and a range of raw bar displays. The menus consist of a mouthwatering array of fresh local seafood, some of which is harvested from their personal aquafarm. The Oyster Lover serves east and west-coast oysters (both raw and cooked options) from their food truck. The raw bar serves oysters with a range of signature condiments such as mignonette, cocktail, and hot sauce. Raw bar add-ons include shrimp, caviar, pico de gallo, customizable charcuterie, and more.
Brittany Buffaloe is the Founder of The Oyster Lover food truck and wife and momma to the crew mentioned above. Since 2020, Brittany watched her husband, Marcus, rise at the crack of dawn to beat the strong sun, battle freezing temperatures, and outrun the rising tides to tend to his oyster farm, Deep Water Oyster Co. It was his hard work and dedication to the farm that sparked a commitment to Brittany’s own mission: making locally sourced oysters accessible to the community while extending the aquafarmer’s reach. With her direct sea to truck model, The Oyster Lover is determined to help The Greater New York Area reap what the aquafarmer’s sow.
