MEET KAREL, ALVARO, AND GILBERTO
Aside from the delicious food options, part of the reason that The Real Cubano food truck is so special is because of the owners’ personal histories and friendships. Karel, Alvaro, and Gilberto are the co-owners and founders of The Real Cubano, but their friendships date back to when they were only 4 years old, living next to each other as neighbors in Cuba. And, although they all immigrated to the United States under different circumstances, each of them came to share the same dream of bringing their culture’s cuisine to one of the best cities in the world. Now, they spend their days bringing joy and culture to New Yorkers with their own stories.
