Who knew there was such a thing as indulging in delicious ice cream that actually makes you feel good while eating it. We can thank Van Leeuwen Ice Cream food truck for that. Focusing on using exceptional ingredients – free of stabilizers, gums, corn syrup, milk powder and condensed milk – Van Leeuwen Ice Cream food truck offers quality ice cream anyone can get behind. Their flavors run the gamut from traditional crowd-pleasers like strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla bean, to a vegan range made with cashew milk and oat milk varieties. But let’s be clear here. It’s not vegan ice cream. It’s delicious ice cream that happens to be vegan!
Van Leeuwen was started by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and friend Laura O’Neill in 2008 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Their mission was to create an ice cream brand that not only paid attention to the quality and the details, but one that also appreciated the integrity and authenticity of how it’s made. What started as a single buttery yellow truck in Brooklyn, New York, has now grown to 22 scoop shops in NYC and LA and 700 grocery doors across 35 states and was named top 10 ice creams in the USA and number 1 in NYC by Bon Appetit Magazine. The trio developed a cult following around their ice cream brand, inclusive to everyone and offers a premium experience every time.
