It was The Nightingale Bamford School’s Centennial Homecoming and they wanted to do something special for the entire Nightingale community. The day kicked off bursting with school spirit as students, alumni and faculty dressed up in Nighthawk gear, had their faces painted, and made signs to cheer on the volleyball and soccer teams who were competing on various courts throughout the day. But to make the day even more memorable and set this year’s homecoming apart from the years prior, Nightingale asked The New York Food Truck Association to bring the best eats on the streets for everyone to enjoy outside on a beautiful Fall day.
With the help of the NYFTA, Nightingale closed off 92nd street and transformed it into a school-wide block party. We worked with the Nightingale faculty to ensure every detail aligned with their vision of a spirited and community oriented Homecoming. We supplied five food trucks of all different cuisines to line the street, ranging from Asian fusion to American BBQ to wood-fired pizza. For dessert, we featured the famous Glazed & Confused, whose mini donuts can be customized with your favorite icing and toppings. We are big believers in trying everything on the menu, so we worked with our vendors to develop a special menu for this event that accommodated shareable dishes and portions. This invited alumni, families, and students alike to hop from food truck to food truck to sample all the different options.
