It’s an A+E tradition to treat their agency partners to lunch to express appreciation for their continuous support throughout the years and celebrate a successful Upfront season. The NYFTA has been lucky enough to be part of this amazing project for the past four years as we’ve organized a collaboration between A+E and New York’s famed Katz’s Delicatessen. A+E was looking execute an activation in which nine trucks make their way around nine different locations in NYC offering curated sandwiches to their ad sales partners, while driving brand engagement through a custom hashtag #AEEATS to bring their community together.
First things first. We sourced nine vehicles that were fully equipped with the proper commercial equipment needed for Katz’s Deli talented chefs to make their magic. Then, we decked out the trucks from head to toe in A+E branding, secured the proper parking permits for all nine locations, and established the most strategic route that each truck would take based on capacity.
After bringing all participating chefs on board and loading the vehicles with pounds of pastrami, corned beef, and turkey at Katz’s Deli brick and mortar in the Lower East Side, it was game time. We were ready to disperse A+E branded trucks all over the city to hand out freshly cut and custom-packaged delicious deli sandwiches. Brand ambassadors awaited guests’ arrival from their offices to hand out A+E custom menus that invited guests to customize their own sandwich and choose their favorite side. What a treat!
