Owner and founder Adam Disilvestro is a born and bred New Yorker. He is a 1st generation Italian from Lower East Side. He grew up eating from all the best Italian delis around NYC and quickly learned that being known to have the best Italian sandwich was like being the King of NY. When Adam decided to start his food truck, he only had one thing in mind, to be the Sandwich King of NY. Before going into Italian sandwich catering, Adam worked a corporate job in Midtown Manhattan where he always used to ask himself why there wasn’t a good Italian sandwich shop in the area. When he left his corporate job, he knew there was a void to fill in that category, so he started DiSO’S. The food truck name DiSO’S came from his last name “Disilvestro.” By putting his name on the truck, he wanted people to know that his food truck was a family-run business with “mom and pop” style food, recipes, and service.
