House of Cupcakes all started when Ruthie Bzdewka was at a kid’s birthday party. She was intrigued by all the different varieties of cupcakes and as someone who had baked her whole life, she got the idea to open her own cupcake shop. Ruthie and Ron Bzdewka opened House of Cupcakes in Princeton, NJ in 2007. Soon after opening, Ron and Ruthie were invited to be contestants on Food Network’s popular show, Cupcake Wars. After their triumphant victory winning first place on Cupcake Wars, and the popularity of their shop, starting a cupcake truck was a no-brainer for the power couple. In 2015 the first House of Cupcakes Food Truck was born. Ron and Ruthie now have four cupcake food trucks delivering their specialty cupcakes to the sweetest events.
