MEET THE LEON FAMILY
Started by the Leon Family in the late 1980s as a concession stand known as Arepa Jumbo, Luis & Flor Leon began selling their native Colombian handmade arepas at many local street fairs. The Leon’s soon realized that there was a demand for ethnic food at these events and in the early 1990s, in an attempt to attract a more diverse clientele base, the Leon Family transformed Arepa Jumbo into the now-famous MozzArepas. MozzArepas quickly grew into a crowd favorite at street fairs & carnivals throughout the tri-state area. The business has since stayed in the family and is now owned and operated by Luis & Flor’s sons, Hervey, Alex, & Bryan.
