Vernon Grille, a Greek food truck in New York City, is family-owned and specializes in traditionally prepared Greek cuisine, rooted in authenticity, quality, and consistency. While the food truck officially opened its doors in the Spring of 2023, its concept was developed earlier in response to the growing demand for catering and delivery orders in the Manhattan area, which were received daily at the Vernon Grille restaurant in Long Island City. Built on years of culinary experience, Vernon Grille Eat Greek was created to deliver high-quality Greek food efficiently in a mobile setting without compromising authenticity. In addition to catering and special events, the food truck has been highly successful at serving weekday lunch crowds Monday to Friday in Manhattan, demonstrating strong consistency, speed of service, and the ability to operate in high-demand urban locations. Since opening, the truck has been booked for a wide variety of high-volume events, including music concerts, corporate events, weddings, and graduations, among others, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and strong operational capacity. Some of our best menu items are Chicken Souvlaki, Pork Souvlaki, and Lamb and Beef Gyro in three options: à la Carte, Pita Sandwich, or Platter.

meet the family-driven team

Vernon Grille Eat Greek is owned and operated by Xristos Fterniatis, Giota Trikoupi, and Markos Triantafyllou, a family-driven team that combines extensive culinary expertise with strong business management experience. Xristos and Giota each bring over 10 years of hands-on experience as line cooks, having worked in professional kitchens in Greece before relocating to New York in early 2018. Their background in traditional Greek cooking, high-volume service, and kitchen operations are the foundation of the food truck’s quality and consistency. Upon moving to the United States, they joined the Vernon Grille restaurant, where they continued refining their skills and supporting the growth of the business before transitioning into the food truck, where they remain the primary hands-on operators. Markos Triantafyllou contributes valuable business management knowledge gained since the opening of the Vernon Grille restaurant in the fall of 2017, supporting operations, logistics, and overall business strategy. Together, they operate Vernon Grille Eat Greek with a strong focus on professionalism, efficiency, and authentic Greek cuisine.
