This Westchester institution and nationally registered historical landmark has been serving world-famous hot dogs since 1919. Fortunately, their famous roadside stand has taken to the road with two hot dog trucks offering the best hot dog experience in New York. Walter’s hot dogs are made with an exclusive blend of beef, pork, and veal, a blend so special that is protected under trade secret. What’s more, Walter’s hot dogs are split down the middle, grilled in a “secret sauce,” (so many secrets!) and served on a toasted bun with Walter’s signature mustard. Among the many prestigious awards they have won, Walter’s was voted No. 1 in the country by Gourmet magazine, “Best Hot Dog in the Tri-State” by WCBS-FM’s, and “Best Food Truck” by the Best of Westchester. One bite of these irresistible hot dogs and you’ll understand why they top the whole list of noteworthy hot dogs across the country.
Walter’s is a fourth generation family-owned business founded by Walter Warrington in 1919. Walter’s has been a must-go destination since its inception, still using its original hot dog recipe created over 100 years ago and passed on from generation to generation. Walter’s son Eurgene Warrington, owned the stand for more than 60 years, and after his passing, Eugene’s daughter Christine and her children are all working together to carry on the family legacy.
