MEET MISHEL & MATT
Mishel and Matt started their food truck journey and opened Gyro Uno in April of 2016. Prior to starting their Greek food truck, Mishel worked in the electronics and IT world, and Matt worked in the auto mechanics and electronics industry. The unconventional duo wanted to try something new and decided to switch career paths and go into the food truck industry. With no prior restaurant experience, Mishel began an extensive culinary program at ICE (Institute of Culinary Education) and an externship at The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges. After completing the program and garnering culinary experience from The Inn at Pound Ridge, Mishel and Matt were confident that they were ready to create one of the best food trucks in New York, Gyro Uno.
